Stock markets, in spite of all technical analysis and number crunching, are driven by what the masses think about a stock, or how they value the same. The way these valuations take place based on incomplete information, is often hilarious. This cartoon depicts how stock markets often are driven by wrong or misinterpreted information that gets magnified as it spreads through social networks.

It is indeed funny how the network effects of incomplete and imprecise information build over time and the nature of impact it may have if viral.
