With the aim of encouraging entrepreneurship among youth, BITS Pilani K. K. Birla Goa Campus is organizing its annual e-summit, Coalescence’15 on 5th-6th September. Coalescence ’15 will provide a platform for outfitted and ascendable business plans to win cash prizes, receive funding, mentorship from its partner incubators and accelerators.

The front-runner of the event is the conference, A.C.T. ACT in its previous edition last year had a splendid line-up. The lineup included social entrepreneurs like Alok Shetty (founder, Bhumiputra Group), founders of enterprises like freecharge, standup comedians like BiswaKalyanRath, and many more.

This year, ACT has a stellar line up.

  1. Rahul Yadav, Co-founder, Housing.com

Rahul Yadav, co-founded Housing.com with 11 of his friends after dropping out of IIT Bombay. He went on to make Housing.com, one of India’s fastest growing companies and the largest real estate discovery portal.

  1. TapseePannu, Actress and Entrepreneur

At 27, the JatSikhni Delhi Girl has lined up a bunch of Tamil and Hindi Movies ahead of her. Critically acclaimed for ChasmeBaddoor, Baby, and Kanchana 2, Taapsee is to star against AyushmannKhurana in ‘Agra KaDaabra’, a movie from the team of Vicky Donor.

  1. Vijay Nair, founder, Only Much Louder

In 2003, 19-year old Vijay Nair dropped out of college and walked up to Vishal Dhadlani. Now as a founder of “Only Much Louder”, he manages multiples entertainment avenues like Pentagram, AIB, NH7 weekender, and counting.

  1. A Muruganantham, founder, Jayashree Industries

With nobility and the vision for women healthcare, A. Muruganantham spent 8 years to find a low cost solution for the menstrual health of rural women. Through his journey, he nearly lost his family, money, and place in society and had to wear sanitary pads.

Coalescence also features a series of Workshops to enhance entrepreneurial skills.

  1. Build your business – An interactive workshop by Knolskape (www. knolskape. com) aimed to teach the fundamentals of building a real business from scratch.
  2. How to pitch your idea – A workshop by 91springboard (www. 91springboard. com) that will basically go through the process of pitching.

The 2015 edition of Coalescence, like its predecessors promises to give people an insight into entrepreneurship and serve as the one big stage for infinite opportunities.
